Landscape contractor: expect fees to soar if gas-powered equipment banned in city

A ban on two-stroke gasoline-powered landscaping equipment in Vancouver will cause strata fees to double, the owner of a local landscaping company has warned.


Several upgrades in store for historic Brantford Golf & Country Club

The $5-million project will include bunker work, widening of fairways, a new irrigation system, the relocation of a pond, and changes to greens, including two new putting surfaces slated for the fall.


Turf at B.C. athletic park to undergo upgrades as part of $1.4-million project

Work on the $1.4-million project is to begin this month with a September completed date expected. Other improvements include a new rubberized track, a new hammer/discus cage, and reconstruction of the high jump and track runways.


Nine new holes expected to open at Serenity Golf Club, completing two 18-hole layouts

It will complete the Sun Catcher course, offering golfers a challenge at more than 6,700 yards from the back tees.
