Ottawa ready to begin pilot project to phase out gasoline-powered landscaping tools

Starting this summer, six crews will begin a pilot project by using electric and battery-powered equipment on job sites. The city’s parks services has issued a tender for the supply and delivery of battery-powered landscaping tools, including trimmers, blowers and chain saws.
