Predator Ridge golf resort cuts ties with Hockey Canada over sexual abuse controversy

The golf course has been the site of several Hockey Canada summer events for the past 10 years. The golf resort is the latest organization to cut its ties with the hockey body since sexual abuse reports began surfacing in May as well as Hockey Canada’s controversial handling of the matter.


Dogs (and horses) running loose on Eganville sports fields could mean stiffer penalties

A nearby off-leash park was created in the municipality to keep dogs off the sports fields, but councillors say perhaps it’s time for new signage to be erected to let dog owners – and horse owners – know that stiff penalties could be imposed when animals roam freely on sports fields.
