Helping your workers cope with isolation, loneliness

There’s nothing like a pandemic to challenge a society’s ability to feel socially connected.

For many employees, coping with isolation and social distancing can be trying as it is something many of us have not had to do.

Many workers – particularly those who live alone – are experiencing loneliness.

Talent Canada has partnered with Dr. Bill Howatt, one of Canada’s leading experts on mental health, to discuss the issue of isolation and the toll it is taking on your workers’ mental health.

Dr. Howatt will introduce some of his finding from research around perceived isolation barriers.

The webinar will:
• Discuss the link between mental health and social connections
• Explore what perceived isolation is
• Review the link between isolation and loneliness
• Define what loneliness looks like
• Provide some tips for how to insulate from experience loneliness

Note: There is prework for this webinar, which runs 45 minutes and features a 15-minute Q&A. Visit howatthronline.com/loneliness/ to complete the pre-work.
