Speaker Spotlight: Mark Peterson

Mark Peterson currently chairs the Global Herbicide Resistance Action Committee (HRAC), an industry group dedicated to the study and management of herbicide-resistant weeds. He also has a high level of external engagement with the Weed Science Society of America and North Central Weed Science Society, and has authored and co-authored several recent publications. Peterson is also currently Dow AgroSciences’ global product development leader for corn and soybean herbicides, nitrogen stabilizers and fumigants.

At the 2018 Herbicide Resistance Summit, Peterson’s keynote presentation will highlight global efforts to prevent herbicide resistance, including helping attendees to better understand the evolution and development of resistance. Peterson will show how the adoption of best management practices can help preserve our critically important herbicide tools.
