Limiting lodging in oat

Lodging affects oat crops more seriously than any other cereal. A study led by Bao-Luo Ma, a research scientist with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in Ottawa, examined the effect of nitrogen fertilizer rates on lodging and yields in various oat varieties at sites in Ottawa, Quebec and Saskatchewan.
