It’s been 25 years since breeders in Western Canada have really had Fusarium head blight (FHB) on their radar and there have been a lot of challenges. One of the challenges is that many genes with fairly small effects control the resistance. Another challenge is that there are different types of resistance that breeders are dealing with.
