As of Nov. 9, 1,300 producers have called Agricorp to report damage to grain corn due to DON. Customers and buyers are reporting that DON levels of five to eight parts per million are being purchased, but now buyers are holding off until harvest progresses and corn volumes are better understood.

Research is underway to look at the best ways to manage this disease, including earlier seeding dates, beneficial microbes, grass cover crops and other crop rotations to help reduce clubroot spores.
