Canadian Grain Commission proposes adding falling number and DON to grain grading

As part of its grain grading modernization initiative, the Canadian Grain Commission is inviting grain sector stakeholders to provide input on whether falling number and deoxynivalenol should become official grain grading factors. Stakeholders have until May 10, 2019, to provide input.

Canola Council expresses confidence in quality of Canadian canola

Last week, Winnipeg-based Richardson International Ltd., said China had revoked its permit to export canola, saying it has found “harmful organisms” in the product, but the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has not identified anything of concern.
