OMAFRA: Corn rootworm resistance to Bt hybrids has likely spread

The damage includes stunting, root clipping, goose-necking, silk clipping and abundant rootworm adult populations mating and feeding – all likely signs of rootworm resistance to Bt-RW proteins.


AAFC researchers examine projectile weed control options

The technique – called “abrasive or projectile weed control” and first developed by University of Nebraska researchers for weeds affecting corn crops – is being tested by AAFC researchers across Canada on a variety of crops.
