In Manitoba, little was known about how lygus bugs impact dry bean and soybean. A three-year research project – initiated in 2008 and recently summarized – identified species composition and seasonal occurrence on beans, but was unable to determine economic thresholds due to low insect pressure during the project. Unfortunately, no research has been conducted since then.
