Farm cash receipts fell in the first three quarters of 2024

According to a Statistics Canada report, farm cash receipts totalled $70.6 billion from January to September. Crop receipts fell 9.2 per cent to $37.6 billion due largely to a decrease in prices.


Excellent quality reported for 2024 Canada Western Red Spring wheat

Producers submitted wheat samples to the Canadian Grain Commission’s Harvest Sample Program and the samples came back with 94 per cent of the crop in the top two grades.
