Session spotlight: Peter Sikkema on multiple-herbicide-resistant waterhemp

The list of herbicide-resistant weeds found in Canada is growing, and where it exists, multiple-herbicide-resistant waterhemp is a grave concern for growers. During his session at the 2022 Top Crop Summit, Peter Sikkema, professor of weed management at the University of Guelph's Ridgetown Campus will discuss the spread of the weed, its current status in Ontario and elsewhere, and control tips and strategies.
At the University of Guelph, Sikkema conducts research on weed management in corn, soybean, cereals and edible beans. He teaches crop diagnostics and recommendations, and herbicide physiology and biochemistry.
