Prairie producers to contact province before repurposing crops

Saskatchewan and Manitoba are in much the same state as last week: drought and extreme heat are the order of the day, with several municipalities declaring agricultural states of emergency.


Manitoba and AAFC partner for drought relief

The first available initiative through Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation’s Hay Disaster Benefit will provide an additional $44 per tonne (for every tonne below coverage) to insured forage producers.
