Dry conditions continue to impact western Canadian wheat

Winter and spring wheat conditions in Canada are currently mixed thanks to expanding drought across the western Prairies, according to the most recent Wheat Market Outlook from the Saskatchewan Wheat Development Commission.

Crops are quickly progressing in Saskatchewan, and, according to the province's most recent crop report, with the warm temperatures and widespread rain received this past week, the sight of yellow canola and green wheat fields are now prominent across Saskatchewan.

The Canola Council of Canada (CCC) is pleased to announce that Chris Davison will be its next president and CEO. “Davison brings a deep background in the industry, as well as a great passion for and commitment to the future growth of the sector,” says Jennifer Marchand, chair of the CCC board of directors.
