Agritech in B.C. receives $2 million investment

Announced at the 2024 Pacific Agriculture Show in Abbotsford, B.C., 13 new projects received a $2 million investment, including $658,000 from the B.C. Centre for Agritech Innovation (BCCAI), which has been matched by industry.


New building elevates ag research in Alberta

Agricultural research in northern Alberta got a boost when a brand new $2 million facility opened earlier this year. The building is the new home of SARDA Ag Research and brings new capacity and improved efficiency to the organization.


Company rebrands to reflect focus on Canadian agriculture

AVAC Group has officially changed its name to Verdex Capital to better reflect the company’s renewed focus on the Canadian agriculture sector. "The rebrand to Verdex Capital formalizes our commitment to Canadian agricultural innovation," says CEO Martin Vetter.
