SPEED, PRECISION, SKILL

SPEED, PRECISION, SKILL

With eight races to look forward to in 2018, it will be another whirlwind year on the Air Race tour as Hamilton travels the world on our timekeeping mission.

Proceedings took off in Abu Dhabi at the beginning of February in a repeat of last season’s opener. We went to Cannes this past weekend in April, then Budapest in June. Kazan in Russia hosts race six at the end of August before we head to Indianapolis in early October. Three other races are yet to be announced.
Since last season, Hamilton has welcomed three new pilots as air race ambassadors. Joining the quick Corsican Nicolas Ivanoff, who has been a Hamilton ambassador since 2005, are Spanish ace Juan Velarde, Canadian daredevil Pete McLeod and Italian athlete Dario Costa.

Hamilton now has four top pilots testing our watches to the limit and providing us with feedback direct from the cockpit.

The Red Bull Air Race is all about speed and precision with pilots taking around one minute to complete a 6 km (3.7 mile) course, performing death defying maneuvers as they negotiate the low-level slalom track.

It’s one of the most exciting, adrenalin-packed sports in the world and it’s fitting that Hamilton, with our prestigious history of timing the skies, is the Official Timekeeper again in 2018.
