Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre is a busy flight school operating a fleet of 30 training aircraft and simulators. We are seeking a full time DOM/PRM to replace the director who is retiring after 30+ years of service.
Director of Maintenance (DOM) reports to the General Manager and is a member of the senior management team. The DOM is responsible for ensuring the flight school fleet of 30 C152, C172, PA-28R-201, Diamond DA40, and PA-44 are airworthy and available to support the needs of the training programs. DOM is responsible for all airworthiness decisions and adherence to all Transport Canada regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Aircraft Maintenance: minimum six years’ experience
• TC AME M1 licence (minimum)
• Experience working on flight training aircraft
• Experience in aircraft maintenance planning and budgeting
• Demonstrated leadership in hiring, training and supervising maintenance staff
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and organize effectively
• Postsecondary education preferred
• Thorough knowledge of TC CARS and industry best practices
• Experience with contract negotiation with suppliers
• Experience with Avionics, Structures including composites desirable
• Solid computer skills: MS office, maintenance management systems
