On July 3, cherished ATAC director Joan Williams sadly lost her fight to cancer. Longtime ATAC Director and Chair of the Flight Training Committee, Joan made a very significant contribution to the flight training industry. Unmatched in her creativity and determination, a woman of courage and vision, a trailblazer for women in aviation, Joan trained an entire generation of pilots who demonstrate competency, ethics and professionalism under her tutelage.
Contagiously passionate for aviation, an ATAC Lifetime Honouree, she is to receive posthumously the Elsie McGill Northern Lights Award in the Education category.
She will be dearly missed.
