Election Year – A Time to Get Their Attention

An election year is an opportune time to get our issues on the political agenda. This spring, we will be sending all party leaders our Watch List of major aviation issues inviting them to include them in their party electoral platforms or at least to comment on them.

We did this exercise before the 2015 General Election. Some party leaders didn’t even acknowledge our letter while most sent cursory non-committal responses and one drafted a generic letter of polite support. We hope that greater attention is given to commercial aviation this year.
