ATAC is pleased that the Federal Government has finalized a financial support agreement with Air Canada but hopes that the first step in helping our industry recover. Financial support agreements must be quickly made available to the more than forty airlines in Canada and with the aviation support industries. Although, however crucial financial support is, recovery efforts can only be successful if travel restrictions and quarantines are lifted as quickly as possible taking full advantage of recognized health and safety mitigations the Canadian airline industry has adopted.
