CATSA Privatization Still a Viable Option?

Division 12 of the 2019 Budget Omnibus Bill included provisions for the privatization of CATSA. Although in agreement with that objective, ATAC strongly objected to the price set by the Government as CATSA’s funding has only ever come from passenger fees.
Today, one must question the wisdom of privatizing that service considering the Government’s complete indifference and laissez-faire attitude towards multiple calls from stakeholders for financial support for NAV CANADA during the pandemic.
