The British Columbia Association of Chiefs of Police, in partnership with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, looks forward to welcoming police leaders from across the country to the 2026 Police Leadership Conference in Vancouver.
This year’s program focuses on the realities of modern police leadership, including navigating risk, sustaining public trust, and leading decisively amid evolving and increasingly complex threats.
Conference Highlight: Opening Keynote with General Rick Hillier (Rtd.)
A featured highlight of the 2026 Police Leadership Conference is the opening keynote by General Rick Hillier (Rtd.), who will present 50 Points of Wisdom for Today’s Leaders.
Drawing on more than three decades of leadership experience in complex, high-risk environments, General Hillier offers a candid and practical perspective on moral courage, decision-making under pressure, and leading people through uncertainty. His session will challenge leaders to think long-term, act with integrity, and lead with clarity in moments that matter most.
