About Us

A message from our sponsor

Last year the company has opened a new North American headquarters in Toronto, invested in local warehousing and hired local staff as part of its overall commitment to meet the needs of its Canadian and US customers.

“Heating costs are difficult to calculate these days. Therefore, customers need sophisticated heating technology to use fuel like biomass efficiently. Hargassner offers a reliable wood heating solution that is particularly suitable for those needs.” Stefan Kopp, CEO, Hargassner North America

Systems for every heating requirement

Hargassner boilers burn biomass – this can be wood chips, pellets or well known logs. Wood chips are made of untreated residual wood, mainly waste wood, from domestic forests and the sawmill industry. 40 years after its foundation, the biomass specialists offer an individual range of biomass boilers scaled to meet almost every level of demand - from single-family homes up to large-scaled installations for farms, hotels and industry.

The company offers solutions from 23 kW (78,500 BTU/h) to 330 kW (1,125,000 BTU/h) and in cascade set-ups (multiple boilers operating together) up to 2 MW (6,700,000 BTU/h).

Cost effective and easy to operate

From an economic point of view, energy costs and environmental regulations are becoming increasingly demanding. This innovative heating system is more efficient and will have paid for itself in just a few years - sometimes even faster.

Hargassner guarantees the lowest possible maintenance requirements and long operational life for its full range of equipment. With the remote control via phone or tablet, customers can easily change settings on their biomass boiler or even check its current status. The user interface is simple and intuitive to operate.

Certified for use in North America

As a global player Hargassner boasts 40 years of experience building biomass boilers with more than 185,000 satisfied clients worldwide. Importantly, company’s biomass boiler systems are officially certified and approved by the U.S. EPA and the CSA.
