It’s estimated tens of millions of cubic metres of ‘wood waste’ is left behind in Canada's forests after harvesting to be burned in slash piles or contribute to devastating wildfires. In Waste Not, Want Not our experts will explore the challenges of moving this waste from the forest to the pellet plant and beyond, and determine how these actions will keep our communities safer, reduce emissions, protect our forests all the while providing clean energy.
