In 2019, Carbotech decided to return to the field of handling and processing of softwood and hardwood logs with the introduction of the Stream Feeder. Since then, its product offering in this field has expanded. From the simple Stream Feeder it offered in the beginning, the company now provides complete sorting and feeding solutions for logs in sawmills, as well as optimized log merchandisers through Autolog optimizers. Autolog also provides the automation and controls for these processes. Carbotech and Autolog evolve is part of the industry since 1987.
Recently, Carbotech Group has partnered with two high-tech companies operating in the international market that have developed innovative products for the sawmill industry. One of these companies is Woodtech from Chile. It offers a product, the Logmeter, which allows for the reading of the volume and quality of a log or length of wood directly on the trailers as they pass to the scale. The other company, Finnos from Finland, has developed an X-ray scanner that accurately reads the shape and internal and external defects of logs. Both companies already have operational installations in North America. Carbotech can sell and support these products in Canada and in United States.
