Cancelled forestry events in North America due to coronavirus

As countries, provinces and states announce new, stricter measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, known as COVID-19, a growing number of forestry events in North America have been cancelled, postponed or will be held remotely. Here’s a list.


Huu-ay-aht buys $36.2M stake in WFP Port Alberni TFL and sawmill

A Huu-ay-aht First Nations-owned limited partnership is buying a majority stake in Western Forest Products Tree Farm Licence 44 on Vancouver Island, and a 7 per cent stake in its Port Alberni, B.C., sawmill.


US forest industry forecast to rise 1% per year through 2024: Freedonia

Revenues for the U.S. forestry industry are forecast to rise nearly 1.0 per cent per year through 2024, according to Forestry: United States, a report recently released by Freedonia Focus Reports.
