BC lumber producers cut production in response to market volatility

Three of B.C.’s largest forest products players have slashed their lumber production for the next week or more in response to market volatility resulting from the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.


Rayonier cuts production at 7 Canadian operations for two weeks

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak and its impact on certain business markets, Rayonier Advanced Materials curtailed production at seven Canadian locations.


FPAC calls on Trudeau to recognize forestry as essential in Canada

In an open letter addressed to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, FPAC president and CEO Derek Nighbor requested that Canada follow the U.S.’s lead and add forest products to its list of essential critical infrastructure workers.
