Dr. Gigi Lin – Inclusion Body Hepatitis: Understanding and Managing a Growing Poultry Health Challenge

Dr. Gigi Lin will take a closer look at inclusion body hepatitis, an increasingly important concern in broiler and broiler breeder flocks across Canada. She’ll cover how IBH spreads, the role of vertical transmission and immunosuppression, and practical approaches to diagnosis, vaccination and prevention.

Dr. Jenny Nicholds – Liver Let Die: A Guide to Broiler Liver Lesions

Dr. Jenny Nicholds of Prairie Livestock Veterinarians will take a practical look at liver lesions in broilers and what they can reveal about flock health. She’ll discuss how to differentiate between common causes, when further investigation may be needed and how post-mortem findings can help improve flock management.

Together, the two sessions offer practical insights to help producers and poultry professionals better understand what they’re seeing in the flock and make informed health management decisions.
