The brooding period lays the foundation for flock health, welfare and performance. In this practical session, Dr. Fairchild will share research-based strategies for creating the right brooding environment, with a focus on temperature, ventilation, litter, water and feed management.
Drawing on decades of experience in poultry management and environmental control, he’ll also explain how decisions made during the first days of life can influence bird development, uniformity, feed conversion and overall flock performance.
