Large pipelines transport huge volumes of product each day and operators often rely on Coriolis meters for metering and mass balancing. Entrained gas in a liquid, or liquids in a gas pipeline may indicate a leak but this can affect some Coriolis meters’ performance which can add up either as missed transfers or undetected leaks. We explore how high-end Coriolis mass meters are now equipped with technology to tackle this situation.
