To keep up with growing demand in their retail and food service supply chains, the company has purchased Single Path Farms to provide a steady stream of product ready to be cut, de-boned and packed for sales.
“Automation is very important,” declares Pinho. To meet the needs of their vast array of Canada’s leading retailers, grocers and food service companies, “we’ve dealt with Reiser for 20 years.”
“We looked at the Reiser Variovac for some time,” says Pinho. The Variovac creates a great seal and delivers an excellent tray pack solution that “offers a shelf life of 15-16 days if need be.”
Company procurement director Josie Spinelli demonstrates in the video how expeditiously the Reiser Variovac packs 10 trays per minute at a constant temperature of 400°C to make clean, consistent seals that deliver a top of the line look.
The company also runs 4 Reiser Fabbri overwrappers to produce 8-10,000 cases daily of fresh retail ready stretch film wrapped product for same day delivery to grocery store shelves.
“Whatever you need in poultry, we’ve got it,” enthuses Spinelli.
Pinho concludes, “As we continue to grow and expand our horizons, we’ll look to Reiser for new machinery.”
