At a key point in the line—placing slippery, olive oil-coated doughballs into pans—the process was messy and labor-intensive. With Schubert’s pick-and-place packaging system powered with robots and integrated vision technology, what once required four workers now needs just one.
Three high-speed robots now position doughballs with perfect accuracy at up to 100 picks per minute, ensuring ideal crust pressing every time. Custom grippers, developed in Schubert’s Canadian testing facility, handle the product gently and reliably.
