Castle Cheese in B.C.’s Okanagan Valley is a thriving supplier of sliced, diced and shredded cheese products to institutional, restaurant and retail operations.
President Paul Boyco maintains, “We offer a full range of cheeses at all price points.”
He continues, “We need machinery that is easy and reliable to use. Castle Cheese runs three Reiser Variovac Optimus thermoform packaging machines, a Vemag portioner and a Holac dicing/cubing machine.
“What we really love about Resier equipment is its ease of use, speed and reliability. When we turn them on in the morning, they are ready to run.”
General Manger Michael Moore takes us in the video through chamber loading in one of the Variovacs, to HMI programming, to sealing, and to a demonstration of the easy-peal feature on the finished package.
Boyko adds, “We loved the first Variovac so much, we bought two more.”
See them all in action in this video, producing a combination of vacuum and MAP packages.
Then see the demonstration of the Holac cubbix 100. “We get a nice perfect cube every time.”
Watch the video to see how quickly the Variovacs move from one packaging size to another, delivering “perfect packages with vastly reduced leakers.”
