Ontario invests $1 million in drainage program in the Rainy River district

Rainy River Future Development Corporation is receiving $1 million CAD to begin a two-year tile drainage program in the Rainy River district, located in northwestern Ontario right along the Minnesota border.


DAERA advice on improving soil productivity through drainage

Many drainage projects completed in the 1970s and 1980s in northern Ireland are at the stage where they need a lot of maintenance to remain effective, according to an agriculture college advisor.


Forecast: Chesapeake Bay to have a smaller ‘dead zone’ this year

Researchers from the Chesapeake Bay Program and several universities, predict that the “dead zone” in the Chesapeake Bay will be 9 percent lower than average. This is due to less rainfall and less nutrient runoff this spring.
