A Message From Our Publisher

Top Glass, Canada’s event for the architectural glass industry, has added a day of tours of local glass and façade fabrication facilities to its 2024 agenda. On April 29, the day before the main conference, attendees will have an opportunity to go behind the scenes at Saand, Antamex and BVGlazing to tour the facilities, learn how glazed building components are made and quiz staff and managers about their products and processes.

Guests will see advanced processes in glass lamination, heat treating, heat soaking, digital and screen printing; fabrication of unitized curtainwall, railing products and window wall; and fabrication of insulating glass units, spandrel, mirror and laser-etch production of bird-friendly glass.

Glass Canada and Top Glass have always been about the incredible companies making and installing the glass on our nation’s buildings,” commented Leslie Osborne, Glass Canada brand manager. “So for our 10th anniversary we thought the best way to celebrate was to put three really iconic members of our community front and centre.”

Registration and admission to the plant tours is free. PPE is required and available for a fee. Guests will provide their own transportation to the plant sites, with directions included with registration confirmation.

Following the April 29 tours, guests will be invited to get together at Moxies at the Sandman Signature hotel, 55 Reading Court, Toronto, for drinks and discussion.

The regular Top Glass conference and exhibits takes place April 30 at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.
