Hi,
As Canada faces its second-worst wildfire season on record, the need for connection and collaboration has never been greater. When the smoke clears this October, I hope you’ll join me — and many familiar and new faces — in Kelowna for the Canadian Wildfire Conference, October 1–2. It’s shaping up to promise two days of learning, camaraderie, and well-deserved downtime.
We’ll be welcoming award-winning author John Vaillant as our keynote speaker, and diving into important conversations about the future of wildfire suppression and detection, mental health, fatigue management, and more. There will be plenty of time to explore the latest apparatus on display, and to unwind together during well-earned happy hours.
This is a unique opportunity to bring together ground and air personnel in wildfire suppression to share experiences, explore challenges, and build community in a welcoming space. Plus… there’s great food.
I’d love to see you there.
Stay safe,
Laura Aiken
