Wildland fires in Canada are increasing in scale, duration, and operational complexity. Federal and provincial agencies are integrating unmanned aerial systems to improve situational awareness, support incident command, and enhance firefighter safety during both initial attack and extended attack operations. Infinit Drones is helping departments adopt these capabilities by providing equipment, mission planning support, and training for wildland fire applications.
Thermal and visual imaging payloads provide real-time data on fire behaviour, fire intensity, smoke development, and fuel conditions. This information allows incident command to evaluate changing conditions from a safe distance, allocate resources more effectively during each operational period, and reduce exposure for crews on the fireline.
