Canada's strawberry industry is experiencing a surge in production, with greenhouse cultivation helping to meet the demand for year-round fresh fruit. In 2022, over 6.2 million pounds of greenhouse-grown strawberries were produced, according to Statistics Canada.
But while greenhouse strawberry production is growing, there’s also a need to be mindful of the factors that contribute to a successful crop, says Rose Séguin, agronomist at Sollum Technologies. Séguin works with growers like the Savoura Group and Les Serres de la Vallière to help increase yield and quality of greenhouse-grown strawberries.
