About Us

A Message From Our Sponsor

At East Jordan Plastics, we believe in making the best use of our resources. That’s why we are deciding to take advantage of the post-industrial and post-consumer plastic that’s sitting around our planet waiting to be used. On average, across our entire product line, more than 25% of the raw material we use in manufacturing is PCR—and more than 70% of the raw material we use in manufacturing is recycled.

We transform these materials into sustainable solutions in our commitment to creating an energy-efficient, closed-loop plastic recycling process—making it easy for growers to fill, plant, ship, and display product around their greenhouse, nursery, or garden center. If we stay on track this year, we will recycle nearly 20 million pounds of used horticultural containers, which is now certified 100% PCR and a part of our closed-loop recycling process.

Made (and Recycled) in North America
From the very beginning, East Jordan Plastics has made it a priority to employ clean, sustainable, and reliable practices. That's why all of our manufacturing and in-house closed-loop recycling is done in North America. We believe it’s our responsibility to produce the most sustainably made products to propel the industry forward. By owning and operating our own production facilities, we know exactly what materials and processes are used to make our products, meaning quality is never in question.

How Can Growers Get Involved?
We strive to make recycling a breeze. When you recycle with us, you just need to organize your growing containers by the type of plastic —individual pallets or bales of plastic must be composed of the same material type. We currently accept polystyrene (recycling symbol 6), polypropylene (recycling symbol 5), and high-density polyethylene (recycling symbol 2). All you have to do is sort by those symbols, and we’re good to go. You can find more details about our recycling program or reach out to us to get involved.
