On August 22, 2025, AMCO Farms Inc. and AMCO Produce Inc. (collectively “ AMCO” or the “ Companies”) sought and obtained creditor protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (the “ CCAA”) from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) (the “ Court”). PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., LIT was appointed as Monitor in the CCAA proceeding (the “ Monitor”).
AMCO, following consultation with the Monitor, is soliciting expressions of interest in acquiring some or all of the business of the Companies as a going concern, or a sale of some or all of the assets of AMCO as a going concern or otherwise, or some combination thereof. AMCO is a producer and a marketer of agricultural products, including tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers and a variety of specialty produce.
