When an employee takes a disability leave from work, their journey to optimal health and productivity often doesn’t end when they return to their job, and the reintegration experience can be challenging for both the employee and employer.

Research from Sun Life, which was presented in a recent webinar hosted by OHS Canada, identified several insights on the return-to-work experience, including the gap between employer perceptions and employee experiences, the need for accommodations and gradual returns, the critical role of the direct manager and more.
