Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), also known as repetitive strain injuries (RSIs), often develop at work from repeated motions that strain muscles, tendons, and nerves over time. Injuries can increase with forceful use, vibration, limited rest, and mental stress.
Preventing MSDs is both a legal responsibility and a smart investment. Employers must take reasonable steps to protect worker health, and most work-related MSDs are preventable through proactive ergonomics training and hazard control. This approach is highly cost-effective, especially since MSDs account for over 30% of accepted lost-time compensation claims.
Now until February 28 (International RSI Awareness Day), all Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) ergonomics training courses are $40 per person per course (whether taken virtually, in-person or onsite), representing a savings of up to $80 per registrant. Whether your work is in an office, healthcare, education or construction and trades we’ve got training for you.
