Plant magazine and CanadianManufacturing.com are conducting the annual survey focusing on advanced manufacturing and the Canadian manufacturing sector. This survey will form the foundation of the 2026 Advanced Manufacturing Outlook Report, a blueprint for Canadian companies on their next-generation manufacturing journey.

This in-depth survey takes under 12 minutes to complete and will provide analysis of the overall awareness and current status of Canada’s manufacturing sector, including the level of understanding of the future benefits of the “connected factory.”

This year, we are expanding our focus to include new questions on tariffs, rising costs, and supply chain issues. The survey will delve into the current level of technology implementation, the challenges companies are facing, and the strategies they are employing to address these issues. Additionally, we are interested in learning about the emerging technologies that manufacturers are most excited about for the future.

The final product, the 2026 Advanced Manufacturing Outlook Report, will be released this fall, featuring survey findings and additional commentary from industry experts on the challenges and solutions to effectively implementing advanced manufacturing technology.
