Northern Pulp requests timely environmental assessment for effluent treatment facility

Paper Excellence Canada, the owners of Nova Scotia’s only pulp mill, Northern Pulp, is once again emphasizing its commitment to operating in the province in spite the mill’s forced shutdown in January.


Report: Wood pulp, lumber import values for China drop in 2020

The value of imported forest products to China dropped by 750 million dollars year over year during January and February 2020, with the biggest falls on the values of wood pulp and softwood lumber, reports the Wood Resource Quarterly.


FPAC and other industry groups make $36K donation to food banks

A number of industry associations across the country, including the Forest Products Association of Canada (FPAC), have made a joint donation to Canadian food banks in response to families affected by COVID-19.
