Step up your screening game at Quarry Tech Kanata

The screening process plays a key role in optimizing performance and maximizing cost per ton, with a working screen making the difference between a yield worth being proud of or unplanned downtime and its ensuing blow to your pit’s bottom line.

At this year’s Quarry Tech, taking place on February 7 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Kanata, Ont., Alex Caruana, national manager of Canadian aggregates at Polydeck, will provide insights on this topic. Caruana will share his experience and expertise on proper screen maintenance, drawing from both his engineering background and his in-field knowledge.

While there is great value in best practices and pro-tips, Caruana will use actual case studies to bring theory to life. By looking at each case’s background, producer objectives, limitations and the actual issue at hand, Caruana will showcase these solutions in practice by working through each case step-by-step. At the end of each case, audiences will be given a chance to compare how they may have solved it differently.

Caruana is a civil engineer with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. Recognized as one of Rock to Road’s Top 10 Under 40 in 2014, and “Member of The Year” by the Ontario Stone, Sand & Gravel Association for 2020, Caruana has grown to be a valuable resource to his customers any time they have process and screening issues.

Register for Quarry Tech today to hear from Caruana, along with our slate of industry leaders presenting on some of the sector’s top issues and their strategies for navigating them.
