Polyurethane (PU) strips are essential components in screen media, particularly in FLEX-MAT Modular and Modular PLUS high-vibration screens. They play a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the screening process by securely holding wires or panels in place, optimizing material separation and sorting. PU strips provide the necessary support and stability to wire mesh or screen panels, ensuring the integrity of the screen structure.
Advancements in the wear life of steel wires have led to conditions where steel wires may outlast the PU strips that bind them. To address this, MAJOR developed new PU compounds to significantly extend the overall wear life of high-vibration screen media in challenging applications. The compound is more chemically stable and offers superior performance in corrosive, alkaline, and wet conditions which would typically challenge standard PU strip durability.
