The inaugural Canadian GA Expo kicks off with a two-hour Transport Canada Aviation Safety Seminar, presented by Steve McLeod, Standards Coordinator, Airworthiness, Civil Aviation.

The session, called Beyond the Stable Approach and Aircraft Modification, will focus on making the right decision when your approach doesn’t go as planned, knowing when to go-around, and knowing what to do. It will also cover modifications, specifically the acceptance of FAA Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) on your aircraft. Attendance at this seminar is eligible for the recurrent pilot training credit.

Then, members from Marsh Canada’s Aviation team, including Greg Wyght and Viji Kunnathat and Mary Palleschi, will lead a session called What You’re Buying to Keep You Flying: Navigating Aviation Insurance. This session will be followed by a panel discussion with leaders from Canada’s GA sector.

In the afternoon, Transport Canada will also host an Up close and Interactive session, starting with an exciting quiz game to test your General Aviation knowledge. Following that, we’ll transition into a Question & Answer period, giving attendees the opportunity to engage in a lively discussion. Don’t miss out on this unique learning experience.
