With more than 50 years in Canada’s commercial aviation sector, Les Aalders leaves an exceptional legacy. Since joining ATAC in 1998, and serving as EVP since 2012, Les advanced engineering, maintenance, technical operations, MRO, environment, and safety. Beginning his career in 1974, Les marked a remarkable 50-year milestone in 2025. We thank Les for his leadership and lasting impact, and wish him a well‑earned retirement.

Wings and Helicopters renewed its partnership with Premier Sponsor Porter Airlines to host the first leg of the Careers in Aviation Expo program this April at the airline’s Toronto Pearson maintenance hangar on April 11, 2026. With the support of dozens of exhibiting companies, the Careers in Aviation Expo program is designed to provide insight into a range of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aviation careers, including, but not limited to: Pilots, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, Air Traffic Controllers, airport and airline operations, aerospace engineering and design, and flight services.
