Most of Canada’s economic partners have tabled financial aid packages for their aviation industry, yet Canada remains largely silent except for a loan package that only includes the very few large carriers.
Canada’s Emergency Wage Subsidy program, although appreciated, will not solve our industry’s liquidity problems. Operations are at standstill, but the high fixed cost still need to be covered.
The longer the Government delays in answering our repeated calls, the greater the chance that many will not be there to offer the service so essential to many regions of Canada.
